The committee has worked very hard to put together the best possible conference. The venue, at the Delta Hotel, is perfectly suited to hold our meeting and is ideally located (just steps from Parliament Hill and the historic ByWard Market with its many shops and restaurants).<\/p>\n<p>The conference dinner will be held in the spectacular Canada Room of the National Arts Centre, a Canadian centre for the performing arts. It will feature great company and some wonderful entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>To complement the scientific program, we have organized a series of interesting and enlightening technical tours and continuing education opportunities. For the first time in CRPA conference history, the conference will include an event for students in grade 6. The event, entitled \u201cScience Day at the CRPA,\u201d will consist of interactive presentations on the fundamentals of radiation and different activities to promote learning and develop an interest in science.<\/p>\n<p>We have put together an exciting scientific program under the broad theme of \u201cConnecting with Communities.\u201d Recognizing that effectively connecting with different communities means working closely with the rest of the world, we will open with a remarkable session that brings international leaders from some of the world\u2019s most influential radiation protection organizations. L\u2019ensemble du comit\u00e9 organisateur a travaill\u00e9 tr\u00e8s fort pour organiser le meilleur congr\u00e8s possible. Le lieu, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00f4tel Delta, convient parfaitement \u00e0 notre r\u00e9union et est bien situ\u00e9, \u00e0 quelques pas de la Colline du Parlement, de l\u2019historique march\u00e9 By avec ses nombreux magasins et restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>Le souper du congr\u00e8s aura lieu dans la spectaculaire salle Canada du Centre national des Arts, qui est un centre canadien des arts de la sc\u00e8ne situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Ottawa, Ontario, entre la rue Elgin et le canal Rideau, et permettra non seulement d\u2019\u00eatre en excellente compagnie, mais proposera \u00e9galement un merveilleux divertissement.<\/p>\n<p>Pour compl\u00e9ter le programme scientifique, nous avons organis\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de visites techniques int\u00e9ressantes et instructives ainsi que des possibilit\u00e9s de formation continue. Le 28 mai 2019, pour la premi\u00e8re fois de son histoire, le congr\u00e8s de l\u2019ACRP inclura \u00e9galement un \u00e9v\u00e9nement pour des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de 6<sup>e<\/sup> ann\u00e9e. L\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement intitul\u00e9 \u00ab La journ\u00e9e de la science \u00e0 l\u2019ACRP \u00bb consistera en des pr\u00e9sentations interactives sur les principes fondamentaux du rayonnement et en diff\u00e9rentes activit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 promouvoir l\u2019apprentissage et \u00e0 susciter un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la science.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avons \u00e9labor\u00e9 un programme scientifique passionnant sur le th\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00ab Tisser des liens avec les communaut\u00e9s \u00bb. Reconnaissant que des liens v\u00e9ritables avec diff\u00e9rentes communaut\u00e9s impliquent de travailler en \u00e9troite collaboration avec le reste du monde, nous commencerons par une s\u00e9ance internationale remarquable r\u00e9unissant des dirigeants d\u2019organisations \u0153uvrant dans le domaine de la radioprotection les plus influentes.
