The Anthony J. MacKay Student Paper Contest is held in conjunction with CRPA’s annual conference. Entrants must submit abstracts of no more than 750 words on a topic that is related to some aspect of radiation. These are the abstracts submitted by this year’s finalists.

As most provinces and territories do not have formal waste control regulations addressing naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM), CRPA has established a NORM Task Group to support radiation professionals in NORM industries. Theys will be administering a three-day NORM Radiation Safety Officer Course this summer.
